On December 3, 2016 a special soiree occurred. In the middle of Boston in a land far far away at a kingdom known as Suffolk University, a Ball was in the midst of its festivities. People laughed, they danced, they talked, they had a great time. The name of this celebration was The 29th Annual Masquerade Ball.

Okay, let’s be serious now. The Masquerade Ball is held every year. The purpose of said Ball is to raise money for the New England Intercollegiate Vietnamese Student Association Dreams Scholarship. What is the Dream Scholarship you might ask? Well, it’s a scholarship that we, NEIVSA, give to prospective students in their senior year of high school looking to further their education in college. The number of students who receive the scholarship varies depending on if the event is successful. And by golly was the event ever more successful!

Get ready everyone! Due to the major success at this year’s Ball, thanks to everyone who attended and participated in the auction we raised over $3000.

I just wanted to thank everyone who came out and supported the event. Especially those who traveled more than 2hrs to be at the Ball. Your support is so very much appreciated. And special thanks to Suffolk University VSA for hosting this celebration.

If you are interested in applying for the Dream Scholarship, please subscribe to our newsletter to be notified when the application is available or if you have any questions feel free to email our Scholarship Chair at tiffany.lac@newenglandivsa.org.
